Traditional Charity Bazaar and Spring Festival Completed

The Charity Bazaar and Spring Festival, organized by Bülbülzade Foundation for more than 20 years, was held in Masal Park on 29-30-31 May and 1 June 2025. The four-day festival included workshops, quiz competitions, sportive performances, music concerts, mind games, puppet shows, musical performances, musical chairs, dance performances, talks, treasure hunts, as well as local dishes and desserts prepared by the volunteers of the foundation.Events and TalksDuring the Spring Festival, Mozaik Women and Family Association, Touch Life Orphan Association and Bülbülzade Foundation's Migration, İslâhiye Earthquake Zone, Children and Secondary Education, Project, Media units, İstikrar Sports Club, Katre Art and Science Center and Pusula Bookstore opened stands to promote their units and sell various products. In addition, expert speakers shared their knowledge and experiences in various talks organized throughout the event.Fun Activities for ChildrenBülbülzade Foundation's Children and Secondary Education Unit organized many activities for children to have a joyful and fun time. Face painting, handicraft workshops, playgrounds and various competitions such as tug-of-war and musical chairs provided the little ones with pleasant moments. There were also various activities such as hand printing, draw and paint your dream, stone painting, treasure hunt and storytelling with ukulele.Gastronomy and Local ProductsDistinguished examples of gastronomy were also presented to visitors at the Spring Festival. At the stands with local products and dessert varieties, the flavors of Gaziantep region were presented to the guests. The local flavors of Gaziantep were carefully prepared with the support of the volunteer women of the foundation and the orphan mothers of the Touch Life Orphan Association.Cultural Solidarity from International VolunteersESC volunteers who volunteered at our Foundation and BEKAM actively took part in the Spring Festival booths.Joint Future MeetingAmong the meetings organized as part of the Spring Festival was the Common Future Meeting with Syrian Opinion Leaders. Syrian Opinion Leaders, doctors, lawyers and students came together at the meeting and made evaluations on the new period in Syria.See you in the coming yearsAs Bülbülzade Foundation, we would like to thank all our guests who participated in this year's Spring Festival. We are happy to host the festival, which we continue with increasing excitement every year. Doors Opening to Hope in Syria: Anatolian Culture CentersWithin the scope of education, culture and art activities carried out under the leadership of Bülbülzade Foundation, Anadolu Cultural Centers, which serve in the safe regions of Syria, give hope to the lives destroyed by the war. Students who have been receiving education at the cultural centers, which have been operating since the first day, explain how the education they have received has transformed their lives.Anadolu Cultural Centers, which provide education for individuals between the ages of 5 and 35, contribute to the development of both children and young people with the programs they offer in 15 different branches.Opened in Al-Bab, Afrin, Azaz and Jarablus in Syria in cooperation with the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, Anadolu Kültür Centers contribute to the construction of a future full of hope in the fields of education, culture and arts. These centers are not only institutions that provide information; they also stand out as important rehabilitation points that aim to reduce the effects of war socially, culturally and psychologically.Shaped by taking into account the dynamics of the region, the training and activities continue uninterruptedly and draw attention with sustainable projects that contribute to the normalization of the region and the reconstruction of the social structure.

A trip to Gaziantep was organized with university students from Kayseri İlim Hikmet Foundation. The event started with breakfast at the Bülbülzade Foundation center.The students visited Gaziantep Zoo as the first stop of the trip. Then, under the guidance of Hüseyin Rahmi Açıkkol, one of the Trustees of the Foundation, they visited important cultural points such as Gaziantep Castle, Emine Göğüş Kitchen Museum, Turkish Bath Museum, Bakırcılar Bazaar and Kurtuluş Mosque.The Gaziantep trip ended with dinner, meeting and catching up programs at the foundation headquarters.

As Bülbülzade Foundation, we have been providing clothing aid to thousands of children and families in need every year since 1994. Through the Aid Unit of our Foundation, families and children in need can choose and buy their clothes in a shopping store environment. This month, a new clothing donation was made within the scope of the “Dress Another Child” campaign.Volunteers from Bülbülzade Foundation's Mosaic Women's Association and Anatolian Student Union provided support during the campaign. These meaningful aids came to life with the labor of our volunteers and the contributions of our donors.We would like to sincerely thank all our volunteers who contributed to the “Dress Another Child” campaign and our valuable supporters who donated.

The Children and Youth Festival was hosted by Bülbülzade Foundation on Saturday, October 12. The festival started with the opening speech of Sena Bozcan, Chair of the Child and Youth Studies Commission. Bozcan emphasized the importance of Child and Youth Work with the sentence “We are after smiling children and happiness without gravity”. Then, students and teachers from Katre Art and Science Center took the stage to perform a music concert.Throughout the program, there were various competitions, games, treats, live music and surprise gifts. In the program attended by children between the ages of 4-17 and their families, Bekam, İstikrar Sports Club, Touch Life Orphan Association and Secondary Education Unit booths organized activities for children and families.

With the participation of the members of the units and associations operating within Bülbülzade Foundation, an In-Service Training program was held at the foundation headquarters at the beginning of the new academic season.The program started with the statements and greetings of the moderators. Nurettin Yener, a member of the foundation's trades unit, gave information about recording the work of the new semester, processing it into forms and preparations for the annual activity plan. Turgay Aldemir, the president of the foundation, then gave information about the active activities and operations.Turgay Aldemir gave information about the activities carried out in the summer season, the Anatolian Cultural Centers in safe regions, the work in İslahiye Earthquake Zone, İstikrar Sports Hall, Katre Science and Art Center and Ortadoğu Media. In partnership with Anadolu Student Union Gaziantep, Mozaik Women's Association and Migrant Services Center, Bi' İzimiz Olsun nature Camp was held in Yamaçtepe Campground between 16-18 August 2024.On the first day of the camp, Rabia Aldemir, Chairperson of Akadder and Mozaik Board of Directors, and Hatice Rana Aksu, Member of the Board of Directors of the Anatolian Student Union, made greeting speeches. Then the acquaintance game was played.On the second day of the camp, in addition to sportive and scientific activities such as adventure park activities, sun and moon observation, workshops, quiz competitions and debate activities were organized.In the debate activity, the topics of “Frequent use of disaster scenarios related to social events brings benefits/harms” were discussed.In the workshop activity, the topics of “Trace in Space, Trace in Time and Trace in Digital” were examined and then presentations were made.The program ended with a collective photo shoot and evaluation.

The "Summer Schools" graduation program held within the scope of Bülbülzade Foundation's 2024 Summer Activities was held on Friday, August 2.*Foundation center summer school,*Semt-i Ibrahimli Association Summer School,*Gazikent Bilim-Der Summer School, *Character Education Summer Activities at Home,*Anatolian Culture Centers Summer Schools in Gaziantep, *Summer Schools in Child Life Centers in Islahiye Nurdağı Earthquake Zone,*Life Giving Jobs camp *A total of 20 summer schools were held with thousands of students and more than a hundred educators in the Anatolian Cultural Centers in Azaz, Afrin, al-Bab and Jarabulus districts in the Safe Zone.The final program of these summer schools was held in the garden of Sevinç Bahattin Teymur Anatolian Imam Hatip High School on Friday, August 2, with the enthusiastic participation of all summer school coordinators, teachers, parents and children.The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Buhari Manaf. Afterwards, Mr. Zeynel Kaplan, Executive Director of Bülbülzade Foundation and Mr. Celal Er, President of Anatolian Student Union made opening speeches.The program continued with the performances of the students from all summer schools. The performances, which had been prepared for weeks, attracted great attention from the participants.At the end of the program, the educators who fulfilled their duties with great devotion were invited to the stage and presented with certificates of appreciation and gifts.The program ended after a group photo was taken with all participants.
