Bülbülzade Foundation President Turgay Aldemir and his delegation attended the first-ever “Inclusion and Empowerment Conference for Persons with Disabilities” held in Damascus, the capital of Syria.The conference addressed the fundamental challenges faced by persons with disabilities and discussed policies and plans to enable their more effective integration into society. It touched upon the psychosocial support to be provided to those who became disabled by losing limbs during the Syrian civil war. At the same time, views were exchanged on strengthening the rights to education, health, employment, and social participation. The event was attended by Syrian Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Kabwat, Minister of Finance Muhammad Barnieh, the Governor of Damascus, as well as representatives of various international organizations, association officials, and Syrian businesspeople.Through panel sessions, workshops, and presentations included in the conference program, the aim was to increase the inclusion of persons with disabilities in all areas of life and to enhance cooperation among all relevant parties for an inclusive and sustainable future.

Gaziantep Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Numan Nazif Şahin visited our foundation. During the visit, he was briefed on our foundation's activities.During the visit, the Bülbülzade Foundation shared information about its projects in the fields of youth, education, and sports, as well as its art activities, the Anatolian Cultural Centers in Syria and Gaziantep, the courses conducted in the İslahiye earthquake zone, the Kurtuluş Forest projects, and the activities of the Media Academy and project unit.Provincial Director Numan Nazif Şahin also provided information about the projects and activities carried out by the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports.

Members of the Bülbülzade Foundation Project Unit, aiming to strengthen the cooperation network in Europe, visited Ekrem Şahin, president of the New Horizon Association operating in France.During the meeting, mutual information was exchanged regarding the national and international projects carried out by the foundation. In addition, the Bülbülzade Foundation's activities related to migration, education, youth work, and the development of contemporary competencies were presented in detail.Following the meeting, officials from the Bülbülzade Foundation Project Unit and the New Horizon Association visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg. During the visit, information about the Parliament was obtained from officials. At the end of the meeting, a plaque was presented to Ekrem Şahin, President of the New Horizon Association.

The Bülbülzade Foundation visited the Gaziantep Nursing Home Elderly Care and Rehabilitation Center with ESC volunteers on the occasion of Mevlid Kandili, gathering with our esteemed elders for conversation.The program began with hymns sung by our Foundation volunteer Umeyr Hamza Bozatlı. Following this, Mahmut Kaçmazer, a member of the Bülbülzade Foundation Board of Directors, gave a speech about the meaning and importance of the day. During the visit, ESC volunteers celebrated Mevlid Kandili with our elders and chatted with them. At the end of the program, healthy snacks were served to the nursing home residents.

Members of the Bülbülzade Foundation Project Unit, aiming to strengthen the cooperation network in Europe, visited Hasan Emre Aydın, President of the US Academics Platform operating in Cologne.During the visit, mutual information exchange took place regarding the national and international projects carried out by the foundation. In addition, evaluations were made regarding the work done so far with the US Academics Platform. Consultations were held regarding new project activities to be carried out.At the end of the meeting, a plaque was presented to Hasan Emre Aydın, President of the US Academics Platform.

Members of the Bülbülzade Foundation Project Unit, aiming to strengthen the cooperation network in Europe, visited Bildung Nijmegen, which operates in the Netherlands.During the visit, which was carried out within the scope of the Erasmus+ project “From Theory to Practice: Field Visit Youth Work Models,” mutual exchange of ideas took place regarding the foundation's national and international projects, youth work, and youth participation. In addition, the Bülbülzade Foundation's activities related to migration, education, youth work, and the development of contemporary competencies were presented in detail.Bildung Nijmegen shared its experiences in Erasmus+ projects and youth work, in addition to its ongoing activities. The meeting laid the foundation for a sustainable partnership between the Bülbülzade Foundation and Bildung Nijmegen for future Erasmus+ projects. At the end of the meeting, a plaque was presented to Yavuz Göktaş, president of the Bildung Nijmegen association.

Maarif Europe representatives provided information about their work. Consultations were also held on potential project partnerships.At the end of the meeting, a plaque was presented to Dr. Selman Dilek, Representative of Maarif Europe in Germany.

The visit was accompanied by the UID deputy chairpersons.During the visit, mutual information was exchanged about the national and international projects carried out by the foundation. In addition, the Bülbülzade Foundation's activities related to migration, education, youth work, and the development of contemporary competencies were presented in detail.Dilara Kılıç, Head of Family and Social Affairs at the International Democracy Union, provided information about their work on placing Turkish and Muslim children in foster care in Europe. Mehmet Akkoç, Head of R&D and Education, provided information about the union's research and development activities and projects. During the meeting, consultations were held on possible project partnerships.

Members of the Bülbülzade Foundation Project Unit, aiming to strengthen the cooperation network in Europe, met with officials from the International Humanitarian Aid Organization WEFA, which operates in Cologne.During the visit, mutual information was shared with WEFA officials about the national and international projects carried out by the foundation. The meeting included a detailed presentation of the Bülbülzade Foundation's activities related to migration, education, youth work, and the development of contemporary competencies. Consultations were also held on ongoing work and potential project partnerships.WEFA officials provided information about their humanitarian aid activities in Africa and emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation in areas where the community has needs and to implement joint projects in the future.

Members of the Bülbülzade Foundation Project Unit visited the General Headquarters of the Turkish Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DİTİB) in Cologne as part of their contacts in Germany and met with Dr. Muharrem Kuzey, Religious Affairs Advisor to the Turkish Embassy in Berlin and President of DİTİB.During the visit, information was provided to DİTİB President Kuzey about the national and international projects carried out by the foundation. Activities related to migration, education, youth work, and the development of contemporary competencies were discussed in detail. Consultations were also held on current and potential project partnerships and ongoing activities.During the visit, mutual good wishes were exchanged, and information was received about the religious services carried out by the Turkish Islamic Union for Religious Affairs.At the end of the meeting, a plaque was presented to Dr. Muharrem Kuzey, President of the Turkish Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DİTİB).

The workshop titled “The Role of Civil Society in the Preservation of Cultural Assets in Anatolia,” organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Oruç Reis Youth Association, was held in Gaziantep. Representatives of civil society organizations from Gaziantep, Kayseri, and other provinces participated as speakers at the workshop.At the workshop, Hüseyin Rahmi Açıkkol, a member of the Board of Trustees and Management Board of the Bülbülzade Foundation, gave a presentation on the working methods of NGOs in Anatolia. In his presentation, he touched upon the impact of the Bülbülzade Foundation's work on the city culture of Gaziantep and explained how the art, sports, and cultural activities carried out within the foundation have been passed down from the past to the present.After the workshop, Hüseyin Rahmi Açıkkol was presented with a plaque for his contributions to the program. The program ended with a group photo of the participants and a speech of thanks.
