Gaziantep Anatolian Student Union organized a debate event at Pusula Kitap Kahve on Wednesday, July 17th. In the debate, which was the second event organized by the Anatolian Student Union within the scope of the summer programs, discussions were held under the title “Should universities be privatized or not?”.In the event, the group arguing that universities should be privatized and the group arguing that they should not be privatized faced each other. In the contentious debate, both sides presented strong theses and antitheses and defended their views. At the end of the debate, the group arguing that universities should be privatized emerged victorious.

The evaluation meeting with the parents of our Summer School students was held with an intense participation. Board Member Nuray İnce, Board Member Bozan İnce, volunteer educators and parents attended the meeting.During the meeting, Nuray İnce and Bozan İnce gave detailed information to the parents about the activities carried out by the association, the activities planned throughout the year and how the Summer School will continue. In addition to the contributions of the Summer School to the academic and social development of students, information was also given about the content of the program, which is enriched with various activities.

Bülbülzade Foundation Secondary Education Commission organized a bicycle tour event for students on Wednesday, July 17th within the scope of summer activities. The event was led and supervised by İbrahim Kılıç, President of Gaziantep Cyclists Association.Kılıç gave important information to the students about safety and attention in traffic and distributed phosphorescent vests to each of them to ensure their safety throughout the event. In this way, the students became more visible in traffic while cycling and acted in accordance with traffic rules.The event, which emphasized traffic rules and etiquette, attracted great interest from the students.

An important parent meeting was held within the scope of summer school in our Anatolian Culture Centers operating in safe regions. In the second week of the summer schools organized in Azaz, Jarabulus, Afrin and Elbab Anatolian Cultural Centers, we came together with the parents of the students receiving education in our centers.In the meeting, the development processes of the students, the contributions of the Anatolian Cultural Centers to the region and the effects of the recent social events on the region were discussed. Parents showed great interest in the meeting in order to observe the contributions to their children's education and development and to be more involved in the education process.The parents expressed their satisfaction with the educational opportunities offered by the Anatolian Cultural Centers and stated that it would be useful to hold such meetings regularly. The parents were also informed about the activities and projects to be carried out during the summer school.

The meeting focused on the general situation of the summer school and the efficiency of the activities. Advantages and disadvantages were discussed and future activities were planned.Turgay Aldemir, President of Bülbülzade Foundation, also attended the meeting and received information about the progress of the summer school. The feedback received for the development of the students and the improvement of the program was evaluated. Important steps were taken to make the summer school more efficient.During the meeting, the current status of the summer school and future plans were discussed in detail. Ahmet Toma, former President of the Syrian Interim Government, visited Turgay Aldemir, President of our Foundation. During the visit, detailed information was given about the activities carried out by our foundation.During this visit, the activities carried out by Turkey in the safe zones in Syria and the social and cultural activities in the region were discussed.

The Award-winning Summer School, organized by Bülbülzade Foundation every year in the summer months with the slogan “We Learn with Fun”, continues with great participation at Sevinç Bahattin Teymur Girls' Anatolian Imam Hatip High School in Güneykent Neighborhood between July 1 and August 2. Bülbülzade Foundation's Migration Coordination Unit came together with the directors and educators of Anatolian cultural centers operating in the safe regions of Syria on an online platform. The meeting was attended by principals and teachers from Azaz, al-Bab, Jarabulus and Afrin.During the meeting, the Migration Coordination Unit delegation received information about the ongoing summer schools in the region. In addition, consultations were held on the developments in the region after the October 1 events. In this process, the delegation thanked the center authorities and teachers for continuing their educational activities without interruption despite all the negativities and for not leaving the students alone.
